The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Recovery.gov was created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to provide unprecedented transparency about how Recovery funds are being used, and increase accountability to guard against fraud, waste, and abuse. Directions Training is dedicated to supporting our county’s recovery by participating in the Recovery Act program of GSA. The Directions Training GSA schedule is approved for under the Recovery Act.

State and Local Government Cooperative Purchasing

Directions Training participates with GSA to provide Information Technology (IT) Training solutions for purchase by State and local government entities in accordance with Section 211 of the E-Government Act of 2002.Under the Cooperative Purchasing Program, state and local government entities may purchase a variety of Information Technology (IT) products, software, and services from contracts awarded under GSA Federal Supply Schedule 70. All items available under the Directions Training GSA schedule 70 GS-35f-0660V are included in the Cooperative Purchasing program and available for acquisition by State and Local Government agencies.

Small, Women and Minority (SWaM) Purchasing (Virginia)

The SWaM certification program is administered by the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise (“DMBE”) and is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s effort to help small, women- and minority-owned businesses with doing business with state government entities. Directions Training is a Certified SWaM company. Information on the certification is available on the Department of Minority Business Enterprise (DMBE) site.

Directions Training is a registered vendor on the State of Virginia Total e-Procurement Solution (eVA) site. The eVA program enables Virginia state and local government agencies to leverage collective buying power. As a registered vendor, eVA allows for easy procurement of Directions Training offerings.
