from Directions
Workforce Investment Act
(WIA)
WIA is a state funded program
targeting unemployed individuals who are looking to gain the skills necessary to
land a great job. This program allows students funding to take training in
their specific area of interest. Directions is a WIA approved training
center with many different programs to offer workforce development students.
What makes Directions different from other training centers offering the WIA
Program?
Directions training offers the
ultimate flexibility and has the highest run rate of classes in the industry.
We assign a career development specialist to every student. Classes
consist of workforce students as well as corporate clients, which offers a
platform for knowledge sharing, networking and real-life experience in the
classroom. The training is of the highest quality with certified instructors and
applicable to an actual work environment.
Directions uses MOC (Microsoft Official Curricula)
in all of the classes due to our Gold Partner Status, as well as keeps the class
sizes small; anywhere from 3 to 8 students per class. This allows each student
to get one on one attention from the instructors and gain as much insight as
possible.
