We take pride in the accomplishments of our instructors. Students tell us it was the instructors who made their experiences so memorable. At Directions, we focus on outcomes-based education. Most of our instructors are devoted specifically to educating and training. They are subject matter experts who do what they do best - teach. Teachers Who Teach Our stringent selection and hiring process ensures that our faculty provides competent, clear, specific and valuable instruction to our students. Our instructors are:
- Certified through Directions for presentation capabilities and adult learning instruction
- Vendor certified in their subject matter expertise
- Carefully selected and matched to meet individual client/student needs
- Consistent in their teaching approach - Directions instructors are required to complete the Directions Training Certification Program to ensure they meet our training delivery requirements
Learn the Way You Learn Best There are generally three different types of learning styles: 1. Auditory - need to hear the instructor present the information 2. Visual - need to see the information on a screen or on the whiteboard 3. Kinesthetic - need hands-on practice in the classroom in a lab or at the desk Our experienced trainers understand the differences in learning capabilities and blend different teaching techniques to maximize the student's interaction, motivation and knowledge retention. The types of techniques our instructors use may vary by subject matter, but may include: - Instructional design
- Train-the-Trainer
- Instructor-led training
- Online training
- Supplemental training (video-on-demand or computer training)
- Desk-side coaching
- Course manuals
- Quick-reference flip charts or reference guides
